You Are Special To God! II Thessalonians 1:11

I. WORTHY OF FAVOR – (11a) “Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling,”

II. WILL IS FULFILLED -  (11b) “and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness,”

A. GUIDED - “AND FULFIL ALL”

Psalms 27:1 - “A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation;  whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall Ibe afraid?

Isaiah 43:1 - “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

B. GOSPEL - “THE GOOD PLEASURE”

EPHESIANS 2:4 - But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ   Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

ROMANS 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we  were yet sinners, Christ died for us.9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

C. GOODNESS -    “OF HIS GOODNESS”

ACTS 20:24 - “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, Which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God

III. WORK OF FAITH - “and the work of faith with power:”

A. PLACE - “AND THE WORK”

B. PERSUASION - “OF FAITH”

C. POWER - “WITH POWER”
