We Need To Be Keepers of the Door!  Jeremiah 35:4

Jeremiah 35:4 - And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:

1. We Are The Shepherds of the Sheep

John 10:1 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

2. The Holy Spirit is the Porter of the Sheepfold

John 10:2 - But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3  To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

3. Jesus Is the Door

John 10:7 - Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

1. We Need To Be Keepers of the Door Of Faith

Acts 14:27 - And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

Hebrews 10:22 – Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Psalms 107:1 - O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

2. We Need To Be Keepers of the Door Of Hope

Hosea 2:15 -  And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

Israel always had a future! - And I will give her her vineyards from thence,

Israel always had a friend! -  and the valley of Achor for a door of hope:

Proverbs 3:11 - My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12  For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Hebrews 12:5 -  And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Israel always had Freedom - and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

Psalms 24:6 - This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10  Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
