Experiencing the Fullness of God! Ephesians 3:14-20
I. Prayer to be Strengthened by the Spirit - 14 For this
cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the
whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according
to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the
inner man;
II. Placed with the Saints so they can See - 17 That Christ
may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height;
"dwell" here is "Kategorio" a certain fixed and durable
place to live!
Ephesians 4:30 - And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
"heart" is "Kardia" which means your thoughts, reasoning,
and understanding!
"faith" is "Pistis" which means being persuaded to believe,
to have confidence in divine truths that produce good works that glorify God.
"Love" is "Agape" which means charity meaning benevolent
love it's benevolence, however, is not shown by doing what the person loved
desires, but the one who loves deems needed by the one who is loved.
" comprehend " is "katalambano" which means to take to
seize, to comprehend mentally.
" all saints " is "haglos" which means set apart,
consecrated, sanctified, chaste, pure, devotion to God, sharing in God's purity
and abstaining from earth's defilement.
III. Presence will Satisfy so they can Serve - 19 And to
know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with
all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
" fulness " is "pieroma" which means a filling or filled
up, something put in to fill up.
Psalm 23:5 - Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will
dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalm 63:3 - Because thy lovingkindness is better than
life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will
lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and
fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psalm 107:9 - For he satisfieth the longing soul, and
filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
Jeremiah 31:14b -, and my people shall be satisfied with my
goodness, saith the LORD.
Matthew 5:6 - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
John 15:11 - These things have I spoken unto you, that my
joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
