VI. Lesson Enlightening - Revelation 2:23b -  ...and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

A. Undiscriminating - and all the churches

C. Undeniable - that I am he

D. Uncover - which searcheth the reins and hearts:

Job 22:13 - And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Job 34:22 - There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Psalms 7:10 - My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. 11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

E. Unaffected - and I will give unto every one of you according to your works

Job 34:11 - For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

Psalms 62:12 - Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

Psalms 28:4 - Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Proverbs 12:14 - A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

Ecclesiastes 12:14 - For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

II Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Galatians 6:7 - Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

VII. Loophole Escape – Revelation 2:24 -  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have  not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

A. Pure Sheep - But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine,

Titus 2:7 - In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

B. Prophets Of Satan - and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak;

I Corinthians 2:10 - But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

C. Promise Of Sustenance - I will put upon you none other burden.

Matthew 11:28 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

VIII. Loyalty Entreated (25) - But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

John 15:16 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

II John 1:7 - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

Colossians 2:18 - Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Revelation 3:11 - Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

IX. Lucrative Emolument (26-28) And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:27  and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my father.28  and I will give him the morning star.

Emolument - means rich reward

A. Place Of Authority - And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

B. Power Of Administration - 27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my father.

C. Promise Of Almighty - 28 and I will give him the morning star.         

X. Listening Encouraged (29)- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.
