Love of God
V. We are Warned of Reality of Faith Living - 12 For now we
see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then
shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity,
these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1. Blurred Vision – 12 For now we see through a glass,
darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as
also I am known.
2. Blessed Unction – 13 And now abideth faith, hope,
charity, these three;
A) Faith – Believing God will Keep His Word.
B) Hope – Looking for God to Make A Way
C) Charity – Loving God Enough To Obey
I John 4:19 - We love him, because he first loved us.
(1.) Affection is Obedience –
John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments.
2 John 1:6 - And this is love, that we walk after his
commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the
beginning, ye should walk in it.
(2.) Affection is Continuance –
John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in
my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
(3.) Affection is Compliance –
1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we keep his
commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
3. Beneficial Action – but the greatest of these is
charity.
1 John 5:4 - For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
