"Delivered by Christ" Luke 8:26-39

I. His Dreadful Condition -

II. His Demons were in Control - Luke 8:28 - When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

III. His Deliverance was Complete -

1. Confession - 30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion:

Psalms 116:13 - I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

2. Emancipation - 35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind:

II Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 6:14 - For sin shall not have dominion over you:

3. Evangelization - 39b And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

Psalms 40:1 - I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psalms 66:16 - Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. 17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

Psalms 107:1 - O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
