Principles to Guarantee Success In The New Year! Joshua 1:8
Joshua 1:8 -
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou
shalt have good success.
1 Peter 1:6
- Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in
heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being
much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus
Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not,
yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving
the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
I. Care To Ask God’s Thoughts
1. Pray for Instruction.
Psalms 25:4
- Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Job 33:16 -
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17 That he may
withdraw man from his (Their own) purpose, and hide pride from man. 18 He
keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Proverbs 13:18
- Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that
regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
II Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness:
2. Pray for Illumination.

greatly in his commandments. …4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the
darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

- The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD
is sure, making wise the simple.

saints,

of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance
among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
3. Pray for Intervention.

- I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in
pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

thee.

for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
God proved this in the life of Daniel the man of Prayer!
Daniel 6:16
- Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of
lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest
continually, he will deliver thee.
Daniel 6:20
- And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and
the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy
God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? 21 Then
said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. 22 My God hath sent his angel,
and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before
him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no
hurt.

- And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt
