II. We are Warned of the Reality of the need of Faithful Loyalty

A. Agony – (4)  Charity suffereth long,

B. Amiable - (4a) and is kind;

C. Altruistic (unselfish) - (4b) charity envieth not;

D. Abase - (4c) charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself

unseemly, seeketh not her own,

E. Angelic - (5 b) is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Colossians 3:12 -Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Matthew 5:39 - But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

F. Affirmed - (6) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
