A. Agony – (4)  Charity suffereth long,

B. Amiable - (4a) and is kind;

C. Altruistic (unselfish) - (4b) charity envieth not;

D. Abase - (4c) charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself

unseemly, seeketh not her own,

Vaunt – means to boast.

II Corinthians 5:15 - And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Matthew 16:25 – For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 19:21 – Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Romans 14:21 – It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

II Corinthians 12:15 - And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you;

1 John 3:16 - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
